This guy was a character. I was trying to get the street sign in the background, but he kept jumping in the shot. Oh, the French. You gotta love fun people :]
New Orleans Jazz Fest
I really chose to visit New Orleans this weekend for the Jazz and Heritage Festival. I am pretty obsessed with Billy Joel and I would have died to go see him and Ben Harper the weekend before, but the plans didn’t work out with my schedule and I went May 5th instead. The main show was The Black Keys and I got to sneak away to see Aaron Neville AND Taj Mahal that day too :]
The week prior, it POURED down rain everyday, so it was nothing but muddy, mucky mud and solid, dirty mud. I really should have packed my rain boots cuz the old reliable sneaks took a little beating that day.
Ted Nugent btw
Dogs about town.
Street performers in Jackson Square and the St. Louis Cathedral.
The Court of Two Sisters has a fantastic Sunday brunch and the BEST mango margaritas I’ve ever had. You gotta try one.
The St. Louis Cathedral
I didn’t want to take too many pictures in the church, but it’s absolutely beautiful. Stained glass everywhere and beautifully carved wood fixtures and the organ, my gosh!
And finally, always listen to Uncle Sam.
